How To Make Shankarpali

Diwali is not only a festival of lights, but also a Festival of Sweets. This is the time, when there are many delicious sweets prepared and when there is lot of sharing and giving. Amongst the many Diwali Faral recipes, Shankarpali is a very common and favourite one. Let us see how to make Shankapali.

Serves 2

Ingredients
1/4 cup buttter or ghee.
1/4 cup sugar.
1/4 cup milk
oil
1/4 spoon of salt
1 tsp of sooji.
1 and a half cup all purpose four.
Method
Take the ghee and the milk and heat it together.
Now slowly add sugar to the mixture you have prepared.
Wait for the mixture to cool.
Now add all purpose flour or maize and knead the dough.

Dough

This makes it very soft .
Keep it covered for half an hour at least.
Now after half an hour make small balls from this kneaded dough and roll out parathas.
Now cut it diagonally from both sides such that there is a shape formed.
Deep fry this .
